Smoke was an incredibly complex and technical undertaking integrating special effects, make up effects, stunts and visual effects. Including but not limited to; Creating a hoarder’s stash that looks flammable but is actually fireproof. Creating a grocery store full of plastic products that are actually paper and metal. Setting a forest ablaze inside a studio.

We created the appearance of moral danger while keeping performers, crew and the environment safe. In addition to this, Dennis also created a parallel fictional world, the town of Umberland in the state of Orrington, with its own stores, media, fast-food chains and consumer products.
